Yummy, unpretentious deliciousness, at a very reasonable price. Gerard (co-owner with his wife) is humble, friendly, and welcoming. He opened this restaurant in 2003 as a way to connect and preserve Tibetan culture.
Musts:
- Chilli Chicken
- Sweet Tibetan bread
Highly recommend:
- Momos (dumplings). The beef dumplings are delicious and filling. The cheese ones are surprisingly sweet, bordering on a dessert. But, Gerard suggests that they be eaten when hot and not left to cool until the end of the meal.
Acquired tastes:
- Tibetan butter tea. This, as we were warned before ordering, is liked by half of those that try it, and detested by the other half. I would characterize it as a good topping for popcorn, but not delectable as a tea.
Excellent Customer Service. We ordered take out a few nights ago and were blown away by the freshness and amazing quality of this restaurant. We ordered the veggie and beef momos, samosas, salad. All of these things were excellent and we'll definitely be ordering from them again. Our order was a little late so they gave us free desert, chocolate and extra momos! So Sweet!
Great!. The food is great and the price is unbeatable. I ordred the tashi-dalek (momos) and we had the butter chicken and curry chicken which were both delicious! The owner is really nice to talk to!
